Roman died... so why is he STILL calling Niko?

Players reported receiving phone calls from Roman Bellic after his death in GTA IV, sparking rumors of a ghost haunting Liberty City. However, this was debunked as a story glitch: since Roman's survival depends on player choices earlier in the game, the phone system sometimes fails to register his death and continues triggering his scheduled calls anyway.
