A real-life Queens kidnapping legend spawned a GTA Vice City myth — but the files tell a different story.

The 'Bridge Abductor' myth in GTA Vice City originated when players noticed Prawn Island's design was based on Queens, New York, where real urban legends exist about a kidnapper under the Queensboro Bridge. Myth hunters connected this to the island's abandoned playground and the North Bridge, speculating a hidden abductor NPC. However, technical dataminers found no actual character files or code for any such figure in the game — only vague environmental references that don't confirm anything.
