Pre-Order Listings Removed at Amazon and Target
Amazon removed the option to pre-order the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S physical editions in the US as of October 11, listing both as currently unavailable with no confirmed restock date. Multiple Target stores in densely populated US areas also show the edition as sold out for pre-order, though availability varies by location and some sites still indicate a November 12 ready date.
Rockstar Limited Production Runs
Rockstar confirmed in June that the physical edition would be produced in limited quantities only, with the official site noting availability while supplies last. It remains unclear whether Amazon or other retailers will receive additional stock before launch.
Price and Payment Advantages for Buyers
The code-in-box version is often sold below the standard digital price, with Amazon UK currently offering it for £65. Retailers typically do not charge until shipment, unlike immediate charges on the PlayStation Network, allowing buyers to retain funds longer.
