In 2009, an anonymous user vandalized the Bully Wiki by inventing a fake Easter egg: that NPCs in New Coventry mention 'Starkweather' and his films, supposedly linking Bully to Manhunt and the GTA 3D Universe. A second user later added fake ZIP clothing brand ads in 2010. These lies sat undetected on the wiki for over a decade, were copied to the GTA Wiki as 'evidence,' and became accepted community canon until 2023—when dataminers and the Bully subreddit finally checked every audio file and confirmed zero Starkweather references exist.
