Due to the Big Ear's extreme height placement in the game world, NPC planes regularly crash into it while attempting to fly near the player. This glitch is so common that CJ's girlfriend Barbara Schternvart has unique dialogue referencing plane crashes at the location, making it one of the rare times a game bug became canonical character chatter.
