Rockstar hid a real alien radio transmission on the official website—years before players found it in-game.

The official GTA San Andreas website featured an interactive map where clicking the Big Ear played actual shortwave radio transmissions with distorted messages like '10-13 in Satellite in Bone County, picking up some weird... stuff' followed by a rooster crow. This predated and arguably inspired the in-game 'unknown radio station' myth that players later reported hearing near the dish.

The full story

The massive Big Ear dish itself — click it on the old official site and you'd get creepy shortwave transmissions that later fueled the 'unknown radio station' myth.

The desolate Bone County wasteland around the dish — ground zero for that distorted '10-13' dispatch and the rooster crow that had fans losing their minds.

Another angle of the eerie surroundings where players later swore they heard the 'unknown radio station' — but it all started with this official site Easter egg.
