Release Timing and Distribution
The extended look premieres exclusively on Netflix at 3 PM ET on August 27 before Rockstar posts it to its own YouTube channel at 9 PM ET the same day. Netflix has created a dedicated landing page for the video, and the official GTA 6 site on Rockstar's domain has also been updated.
Netflix Partnership Background
“Grand Theft Auto reveals have become cultural moments in their own right. The anticipation and fandom around Grand Theft Auto VI is unprecedented, and we’re honored that Rockstar Games has partnered with us to debut the next part of the Grand Theft Auto story with Netflix members first.”
Rockstar previously placed multiple GTA games on the Netflix Games catalog, though those titles have since been removed while Red Dead Redemption remains available. The last GTA 6 trailer appeared in May 2025.
