The creepiest hotel in real life has a secret twin in GTA V — and Rockstar hid a famous murder victim inside.

The southern Templar Hotel in Los Santos is modeled after Los Angeles' infamous Cecil Hotel, where serial killer Richard Ramirez lived and where Elisa Lam died in a rooftop water tank. Rockstar even recreated the distinctive water tower and painted brick advertisements. The game also implies Leonora Johnson — GTA's own Black Dahlia-style murder victim — may have stayed there, mirroring how the real Black Dahlia (Elizabeth Short) was a Cecil resident before her death.

The southern Templar Hotel's facade — Rockstar nailed the Cecil Hotel's grim vibe, right down to that iconic water tower and faded brick ads. GTA's own Black Dahlia, Leonora Johnson, probably called this cursed spot home.
