Rockstar created strikingly parallel fates for John Marston and Johnny Klebitz: both called 'Johnny Boy,' both betrayed by insane gang leaders, both canonically killed on-screen by uneasy allies, both cradled by lovers who later died, both forced to work for the government they hated, both possibly blind in one eye, both pictured with sawed-off shotguns, both returned from the dead in Halloween content, and Trevor nicknamed Klebitz 'Cowboy' — possibly acknowledging the deliberate mirror.
