A real Scottish rock band is hiding in plain sight across three GTA games — and one of them literally built the maps.

Wonderboy was an actual Aberdeen rock band whose former member Wayland Standing worked as a map designer for Rockstar. The devs peppered Vice City and San Andreas with hidden tributes: band posters, storefronts named after band members' families, and even a security guard ID card using the lead singer's face — which appears in three separate games. The Santa Maria Beach poster is literally a screenshot of their 2004 website.
