Formal Request Submitted to Rockstar
The Independent Workers Union of Great Britain and the Rockstar Game Workers Union filed for voluntary recognition this week, which could make Rockstar the second UK games studio with an officially recognized union.

Years of Internal Organizing
Staff have been actively organizing inside Rockstar since 2019, with significant membership now across the Edinburgh, Dundee, Lincoln, Leeds and London offices. The effort has already delivered average pay rises and the first financial incentives tied to crunch periods.
Workplace Demands and Next Steps
If recognized, the union would seek greater pay transparency, stronger flexible working policies and measures to reduce excessive overtime. Rockstar has not yet responded to the filing, while separate legal proceedings involving dismissed employees continue.
