IGN Polls Fans on GTA 6 $80 Standard or $100 Ultimate Edition

The Standard Edition contains only the core single-player campaign while the Ultimate Edition adds a range of exclusive missions, vehicles, customization options, and locations. IGN is surveying its audience on which version they intend to buy and will publish results later in the week. Physical copies will not include a disc, a detail that has sharpened criticism of the $20 premium.

Buyers of the $100 tier receive multiple vehicles including the 1967 Vapid Dominator Buggy, 1995 Grotti Cheetah, and Shitzu Squalo boat, plus access to specialized mod shops and a collection of restorable classic cars. Additional content covers personalized weapons, gang-related missions, unique outfits, tattoos, and salon styles for both protagonists.

Take-Two has reportedly spent between one and 1.5 billion dollars on GTA 6 so far, far exceeding recent AAA titles such as Concord and The Last of Us Part II. CEO Strauss Zelnick acknowledged the expense without disclosing an exact figure. The scale of investment has fueled online discussion about whether the extra content justifies the higher price.
