Flying into the ocean for 30 minutes breaks GTA San Andreas in the most unexpected way possible.
The 'Territory Glitch' in GTA: San Andreas causes the game to corrupt its own memory arrays when you fly or sail off-map for about 30 minutes. This accidentally activates 173 cut 'dummy' gang territories on PS2, makes Mafia and two unused gangs (Gang 9 and 10) appear on your map, spawns desert vehicles in downtown areas, breaks the Taxi Driver mission permanently on PC/Xbox, and can even trigger the Black Traffic cheat without you entering any codes. Ironically, this happens during normal story progression because missions like 'Saint Mark's Bistro' force you to fly east toward Liberty City — and depending on your exact flight path, you might or might not corrupt your save.
