'Kuruma' literally just means 'car' in Japanese — but it may also be a sly nod to the Toyota Camry, America's bestselling midsize sedan. 'Camry' itself comes from 'kanmuri,' the Japanese word for 'crown,' continuing Toyota's tradition of crown-themed names (Crown, Corona, Corolla). So Rockstar either named a car 'Car' or snuck in a layered automotive joke.
