Hillcrest Ridge Access Road and Hillcrest Avenue were originally called 'Hanwell Ridge Access Road' and 'Hanwell Avenue' in early development — a direct nod to Daniel Hanwell, one of Rockstar North's credited map artists who helped build Los Santos. The names were changed before release, but the reference survived in leaked source code from December 2023.
