Take-Two Raises Outlook After Strong GTA 6 Pre-Order Start

Take-Two Interactive reported stronger-than-expected first-quarter results and attributed the gains to robust Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders. The company raised no new figures but reiterated its full-year net bookings range while noting record interest in the title. The update follows Take-Two’s recent rise to the top of publicly traded game publishers by market value.

First-Quarter Revenue Beats Expectations

Take-Two posted $1.39 billion in revenue for the period from May through July, above its prior guidance range of $1.32 billion to $1.37 billion. Chief executive Strauss Zelnick highlighted positive sales trends across Rockstar titles during the quarter. The company maintained its fiscal 2027 net bookings forecast of $8.0 billion to $8.2 billion.

Rockstar announced that an extended look at GTA 6 will premiere on Netflix on August 27 at 3 p.m. ET. Zelnick called Netflix a strong marketing partner and said the company continues to explore new promotional approaches. He indicated the special presentation should further build anticipation ahead of the November 19 launch.
