Take-Two Raises 2027 Bookings Outlook to $8.2 Billion

Take-Two has lifted its fiscal 2027 net bookings target to a range of 8 to 8.2 billion dollars, driven by anticipation for Grand Theft Auto 6. CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that the business is already well over 90 percent digital. The figures highlight how limited the effect of declining physical media will be on the publisher.

Digital Sales Now Dominate Revenue

Analyst Daniel Ahmad reported that physical games accounted for roughly 2 percent of Take-Two revenue in the most recent quarter and 3 percent in the prior fiscal year. The remainder stems from digital distribution, DLC, and microtransactions. This structure leaves the company largely unaffected by Sony's decision to phase out disc-based manufacturing.

GTA 6 Pre-Orders Fuel Outlook Upgrade

Take-Two Raises 2027 Bookings Outlook to $8.2 Billion

Zelnick described pre-order activity for the November 19 launch as exceptional yet unprecedented, making it difficult to forecast final sales. The company reiterated its full-year bookings range while noting that sustained scale and cash flow are expected afterward. A separate Netflix deal for the next deep-dive trailer was also announced.

Mobile Segment and Market Reaction

Mobile revenue declined 7 percent year-over-year, though executives attributed the drop to unusually high results in the prior period rather than current weakness. Take-Two shares opened 1.9 percent lower at 228.20 dollars despite the positive earnings call.
